Return, Refunds & Exchange Policy

We will accept merchandise returns of non-furniture items within 30 days of customer receipt. For International Checkout online orders, refund amounts for returned items will be credited to you in the same currency and using the same exchange rate as your original order.

Buyer may only apply for the refund and/or return of the Item in the following circumstances:

  • The Item has not been received by Buyer;
  • The Item received is incomplete (missing quantity or accessories);
  • Seller has delivered an Item that does not match the agreed specification (e.g. wrong size, colour, etc.) to Buyer;
  • The Item delivered to Buyer is materially different from the description provided by Seller in the listing of the Item; 
  • The Item received has physical damage (e.g. dented, scratched, broken);
  • The Item received is faulty (e.g. malfunction, does not work as intended);

Buyer’s application must be submitted via email to our customer service or sales representatives

Backley will review each Buyer’s application on a case-by-case basis and, in its sole discretion, determine whether Buyer’s application is successful.

To enjoy a hassle-free experience when returning the Item, Buyer should ensure that the Item, including any complimentary items such as accessories that come with the Item, must be returned to Seller in the condition received by Buyer on delivery. We will recommend Buyer to take a photo of the Item upon receipt.

The item will be inspected upon return, and a refund amount will be determined based on its condition. Please notify us at sales@backleyhomes.com or call (006) 03-6141 1888 (Malaysia) / +1(646) 7046133 (US), and we will provide you with further instructions on where returns should be shipped and the amount you will be refunded.

Refund will take up to 14 working days to process.

CUSTOMISED ORDER

We require a 50% deposit for all customised order items including customised engraving on our products. These items are made to your specifications and cannot be returned or exchanged. Once you place your order, you have 72 hours to change or cancel. The 72-hour time frame begins as soon as you place your order in a store; for online orders, the 72-hour time frame begins once you confirm your specie / fabric selection with a Customer Service representative. After 72 hours, your 50% deposit is non-refundable.

If a Customised Furniture item arrives with a manufacturing defect or damage caused during transit, we will repair or replace the defective or damaged area. If that is not possible, we will arrange an exchange. We reserve the right to determine the best course of action.

LIABILITY OF SHIPPING FEE
  1. In the scenario of an unforeseen error from the seller’s end (i.e – damaged, faulty or wrong Item delivered to the buyer), the seller will bear buyer’s return shipping fee.
  2. In the scenario of the buyer’s change of mind, buyer shall get seller’s consent prior to the return request and buyer will bear the return shipping fee.
  3. In the scenario where both seller-buyer disputing the seller will be liable for half of the return shipping fee.
